Happy New Year! Our Goals for 2009

Happy New Year, everyone! Thanks for reading AffiliateByNight.com and for your on-going support all year long. May all of your affiliate campaigns have success and may you have a very prosperous and profitable new year!

Our Affiliate Goals for 2009:

1. Increase posting frequency on this blog. Between balancing full-time jobs, affiliate campaigns, learning affiliate marketing ourselves, multiple blogs and plenty of other online adventures, unfortunately this blog seems to go by the wayside far too often. So one of our biggest goals for the new year is to increase posting frequency on AffiliateByNight.com
2. Become steadily profitable. We made HUGE strides in our affiliate campaigns over the last few months and did eventually have a few profitable campaigns in 2008 (all of which have since died), but Nate & I would really like to become steadily profitable this year and really develop some long-term, high profit campaigns. And I think (hope) we’re on the verge of doing just that with our newest, biggest campaign set to launch in a couple of days.
3. Grow our domain portfolio. I wrote a couple of days ago about how we’ve started to get into domaining and are really enjoying it (as well as the huge long-term benefits of having an impressive domain portfolio). Well in ‘09, we’d love to add some very strong domains to that portfolio and maybe make a few sales, too.
4. Continue to learn. Maybe this is self-evident, but you simply cannot win with affiliate marketing if you’re not on top of your game! You need to bring your A game constantly, staying ahead of the curve, and on top of all the latest trends. The more you know about PPC, about PHP, about design, about marketing, about Google, and the ways of the Internet in general, the better suited for success you’ll be. Good affiliate marketers never stop learning and, as you know, we’re striving to be better than good.
5. Have fun. If you can’t have fun making money online, than you don’t know what fun is! Sure, sometimes the Affiliate Rollercoaster is stressful-as-hell and it sure isn’t for the faint of heart (I can’t count how many times these past 6 months I’ve wanted to throw in the towel), but when I put all the bullshit behind me and focus on what we’re doing and how we’re making money — real-life cash monies — I am very thankful to be an affiliate marketer!
