Affiliate by night is the brainchild of two seasoned bloggers who are new to the world of affiliate marketing. As we were trying to scour the web in search of good, free resources for affiliate noobies we discovered two things – First, the VAST majority of what’s out there are scams, pricey, or both. Finding good, credible and free resources specifically for newcomers (where you’re not being tooled on for being a “noob”) is borderline impossible.

And secondly – What is out there most predominantly is completely intangible. Most of the well-known blogs and forums about affiliate marketing focus on the HUGE – big money and big, technical campaigns. While it is certainly possible to make a hundred thousand dollars a month through affiliate marketing it requires a level of start-up capital, a time commitment, and a technical know-how that most of us simply don’t have.

Sure we’d all love to be the next UberAffiliate, the next John Chow or Shoemoney, but most of us also have full-time jobs, no capital and little technical knowledge. We’d also be more than happy to make an extra thousand dollars a month, never mind thirty.

That’s where affiliatebynight.com comes in. Our goals are to take you along with us on our journey to discover what affiliate marketing is all about and to share with you everything we do along the way; what we find that works (and why) and, more importantly, what hasn’t worked (and why).

We won’t promise you a fool-proof, turnkey get rich quick plan (because there’s no such thing) and we won’t even promise you a six figure income. We will set our goals (and yours) somewhere tangible – maybe $1000/month in a year’s time. It’s not the infamous “dot com” lifestyle but for those of us in the corporate world, $1000/month could be a new car, paying off a student loan, paying down credit card debt or a mortgage. So if that sounds comforting, please take a look around. – Where everyone’s an entry-level employee climbing the corporate ladder by day, but an affiliate by night.
